Draw Analysis Tuesday 1st January: New Year’s Jackpot

Draw analysis

The first EuroMillions draw of January took place on Tuesday night and what a jackpot it was to kick off the year with a top prize worth a staggering €129,645,665. A string of rollovers created this huge top prize and it’s rolled for so long, it’s rolled into another year!

The results are now in from the New Year’s Day draw and the winning numbers are 1, 8, 11, 25, and 28; the Lucky Stars 4 and 6 were also drawn. News is that we start the New Year with a big winner as one ticket matched all the winning numbers.

Now for a closer look at those numbers, and as they make perfect birthday numbers maybe we shouldn’t be surprised that the jackpot found a winner. Number 1 was the lowest ball drawn and we last saw that drawn a couple of weeks ago. Then we have number 8 and that was last out just the previous Tuesday. Next up is number 11 and it’s almost a month since we last saw that drawn. The next number in the winning set is number 25 and it’s a while since we saw that drawn, last out back in November. The final main ball of the evening was number 28 and that also hasn’t been out in a while, last drawn back in mid-November.

Joining those main balls are the Lucky Stars 4 and 6, this pair was drawn together back in August but weren’t part of a jackpot winning set. However, that wasn’t the case on 1st January draw as one player matched all seven numbers scooping the monster rollover jackpot. The winning ticket was sold in the UK.

Other notable winners are plentiful as eleven people matched the second prize, each will collect €123,450.

Friday’s EuroMillions will be back to base and worth around €17,000,000.
